In a permanent relationship. Weird. But nice. I don't just really like him. I think I love him. I really want this one to be the one. There's been so much shit... but not with him. He goes to therapy, he talks about his problems, he's working on being more functional... and... I... I've never been with anyone who treated me quite like this.

I guess it's a good thing I quite my job, the recession caused downsizing in my former place of employment. I'm in a new city, with a better economic climate. Holding down a desk job hasn't been hard.

Haven't written because I was moving. B and G are gone. Quit my job.

I ran out of cigarettes and B gave me one of his cigars. We stood on the crowded deck and watched the street traffic.

"Nothing lasts forever," he said. We've been over this a thousand times before.
"What's her name?" I said.
"Harley." Harley is a minor. She could be my kid sister, she's only about 16, a desperate wannabe who wants to be alternative and hardcore because she sees these people (us people) at parties who don't do drugs.
"That's illegal," I said.
"It wouldn't be my first statutory rape," he said.
"Not in my house," I said. "I will kick you out if you go there."

B had better know I mean it. If he does it I'm turning him over to the police myself. You don't fuck around with some stuff. I pay the rent, I can kick him out if I so damn well please.

Is it wrong to consider voting for a person you totally disagree with because his VP is a MLF? Imagine the news coverage. I'd have to watch. Let's face it, I don't really want to watch Biden make speeches for the eyecandy.

B. told me he doubted a social conservative would appreciate such sentiments, but if I was Sarah Palin I'd totally want to know I hit kinks evoke that response in young liberals.

I told him to go see the therapist, gave him a list of things to talk about relating to self-esteem and sexual identity and gender roles and rebuilding a positive self-image. And I told him to have serious talks with that god-so-fucking-cute little redheaded half-brother of his about needing to restructure their relationship into something more... mutually understanding. Three-way with the redheads yes please

G. says I always do this. She's right, but still says if everybody reaches an understanding maybe we'll have them, please oh please, i've never had four partners at a time before him over sometime.

B. just stands outside with his stogie looking at the summer raindrops and commenting on how it's almost autumn and everything dies in autumn.

We need a new toaster. I keep telling G. we need a toaster that's made of chrome and has no sharp edges and all she ever says is "no". When I tried to get B. on my side, after all, that works sometimes, but he just came home with a borrowed "extra toaster" somebody had.

I think it's from the 70s. It's worse than the refrigerator. I wanted a toaster that went "ding!" damn it.

I think I have a thing for women who smoke on TV. I picked up some Kara-Thrace-Smokes icons.

G. says it's art imitating life but still won't let us smoke inside.

B. asked me today why I think playing a straight man will be fun. I said I thought it would be interesting to be something I've never been before. He thought that was very funny.
